Purpose and operator
Bespoke Mail Sync is operated by Stevan Veljkovic for his own authorised access to a Gmail account. It downloads mail for local reading and storage. It is not a public mail service.
Google permissions and actual use
Gmail IMAP authentication requires the
https://mail.google.com/ OAuth scope. This permission is broader
than reading: it permits reading, composing, sending, and permanently
deleting mail.
The configured isync channel uses that permission for server-to-local synchronisation. It downloads messages and reflects remote message flags locally. It is not configured to send mail or propagate local changes or deletions to Gmail.
Mail and credential storage
Downloaded messages, including their headers, bodies, and available attachments, are stored in Maildir format on the operator’s Mac. The connection to Gmail uses TLS.
The OAuth refresh token is stored locally in a GPG-encrypted file. The OAuth helper obtains short-lived access tokens for authentication. Credentials and tokens are not published on this website.
Local mail is included in the operator’s Time Machine backups.
Retention and deletion
There is no fixed retention period for downloaded mail. The current Gmail synchronisation configuration retains downloaded copies when messages are subsequently removed from Gmail. Backups and separately retained archives may also contain earlier copies.
OAuth access can be revoked through the authorised Google account. Revoking access does not delete previously downloaded mail or backups; those copies must be managed separately by the operator.
This website
This static website provides information only. It does not receive or store mailbox contents or OAuth tokens, and its pages include no analytics or tracking scripts. Its hosting provider may process ordinary website request information as part of providing the hosting service.
